About

Dr Aggie Them is committed to empowering and supporting women as they go through life-changing experiences related to Obstetrics and Gynaecology. In addition to her private practice, Aggie also works as a specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Tauranga Hospital.

Aggie was born in Poland and moved to Montreal, Canada at the age of 3. She later returned to Poland to study medicine, which was a unique experience that allowed Aggie to reconnect with her family roots.

Upon completing her medical degree, Aggie moved to Ireland for four years where she took on her first role in Obstetrics and Gynaecology, and went on to earn a Masters degree in Obstetrics and Gynaecology from University College Cork.

Aggie moved to New Zealand in 2012 to continue growing her career, working in Tauranga and Christchurch. She then began her specialist training in Wellington and completed it in Hawke’s Bay where she pursued advanced training in laparoscopy, hysteroscopy and colposcopy. This clinical training was coupled with an executive-ready programme for women in leadership.

“I find it very inspiring to empower women with respect to their bodies, spending time during consultations to enable patients to better understand what might be wrong and how we can find solutions together. I enjoy the wide mix that Obstetrics and Gynaecology covers, from having an important role to play in memorable life milestones through to consulting and treating medical issues holistically.”
